As you may already know, the security of our customers’ assets and accounts is our highest priority. To help protect user funds, Freewallet uses cold storage technology, which keeps the majority of assets stored offline in a highly secure environment.
Cold storage provides an additional layer of protection against online threats because funds stored offline are not directly exposed to internet-based attacks.
You can access your funds at any time without needing to manually transfer assets from cold storage to your wallet. No additional actions or fees are required.
The wallet address displayed in your app may be used for receiving transactions. Keeping all funds in an online wallet environment and storing private keys directly on a device can create additional security risks, as compromised devices may expose assets to unauthorized access.
With Freewallet, your balance is reflected directly in the app. When you receive funds, they are managed through our secure infrastructure and protected according to our security procedures. When you send a transaction, the required amount is processed from our secure storage system.
You are not charged additional fees for internal transfers related to our storage management processes. Any applicable network fees are displayed separately when making blockchain transactions.
Because your balance is managed within the Freewallet ecosystem, transactions visible on a blockchain explorer may represent operational movements between wallets used for secure asset management rather than a direct reflection of your personal wallet activity.
Thanks to our security architecture, even if your device is lost or stolen, you can regain access to your wallet from another device by securely logging into your account.
Freewallet is committed to providing reliable long-term support and maintaining strong security measures to help keep your digital assets protected.
