How long until my payment is approved or declined?
In most cases, payments are processed within 24 hours. In rare cases, it may take up to 48 hours due to delays in identity verification or high demands on cryptocurrency.
What fees should I pay?
Fees charged from the transactions included:
- standard fees for credit card processing;
- fees for fraud detection and mitigation. This service allows selling cryptocurrencies online with credit cards.
The fee amount is 7% or $12, whichever is higher, (for amounts equal to or greater than $200.00) of the transaction cost. The minimum amount for the transaction is 50$.
Can I cancel or edit my transaction in Simplex?
You can cancel your transaction as long as it hasn’t been approved, canceled, or declined. Also, if you don’t complete the verification process, your transaction will be canceled. Once payment is approved, it is not possible to cancel it since it’s already been processed and cannot be retrieved back. The same goes for transaction edit: once your transaction has been made, it isn’t possible to edit any of the payment details.
Will I need to complete a verification process every time I use Simplex and why do I need to complete it?
Yes, there is a possibility you may need to go through the verification process on the Simplex’s side in an effort to keep the funds safe.
You will need to provide the Simplex team with the following:
— a clear photo of yourself in front of the screen, showing the virtual credit card account used in the transaction with the following info: the first and last 4 digits of the credit card number, the name on the card, and the expiration date.
— any sort of identification (Driver’s license, ID, passport, etc.).
Please note Simplex requires this information to successfully complete the verification process.
If you decide to not complete the verification process, the transaction will be canceled and your card will not be charged. If you are encountering a problem within the verification stage, please get in touch with Simplex Support team.
I haven’t received the verification request email, what do I do?
A verification email is used for proof of identity or card ownership, and in some cases, this email can land in your spam folder. Please check your spam folder for a verification email.
Why was my payment declined and what can I do?
Payment can be declined for various reasons:
- issuing bank declined the payment;
- geographic location that is not supported;
- risk-related reasons;
- etc.
If you have any questions, please contact [email protected] with your Payment ID and put ‘Decline Reason’ in the subject line.
What should I do, if I didn’t find an answer here and need help?
If your payment declined, you haven’t received your crypto, or the waiting time exceeded the required payment process period. If you still have any questions, please get in touch with the support team and tell them more about the issue you’ve encountered: they will be able to assist you.
