What Is XinFin (XDC)?

XinFin (XDC) is a native token of the blockchain-based platform called XDC Network. This network is a EMV-compatible Layer 1 blockchain serving for tokenization of RWAs and other purposes. XDС Network facilitates cheap and fast transactions in large volumes.

The network uses delegated-proof-of-stake as a consensus mechanism. The dev team decided to stick with dPoS as this consensus model allowed them to increase the network’s scalability. In 2024 the amount of active masternodes providing the network consensus exceeded 100. The minimum stake for each masternode operator is 10 million XDC. The minimum stake is set to make it more expensive for spammers to try to mess with the system.

XDC is used for creating custom networks on top of it, facilitating financial institutions and businesses to channel their real-world assets into the blockchain infrastructure.

The XDC Network is the product of the XinFin company founded in Singapore in 2017 by Ritesh Kakkad and Atul Khekade. The latter has a background in creating permissioned blockchains for the big Asian banks. One of the key figures in XinFin is André Casterman who worked for SWIFT. The XDC Network mainnet was launched in 2019.

2024

In terms of price, 2024 wasn’t that great for XinFin. The price began to slide down back in August of 2023 and kept on decreasing throughout 2024 while the rest of the market saw ups and downs. At the end of October the token price began to rebound. By the end of 2024, the XDC price may regain the July level at around 3 cents per token or a bit less.

2025

Skeptics say XinFin isn’t worthy anymore. However, the 2024 price of the token is far higher than the 2019 levels and the development continues despite turbulence on the market. At the same time new exchanges add XDC token to their rosters, increasing the token availability for traders. It will eventually play a role in the token price growth. By the end of 2025, the XDC price will cross the 4 cents mark.

2027

Assuming that the active development continues, XDC may keep on gradually gaining value even in the calm market of 2026 and 2027. Little by little the price will reach nearly 9 cents by the end of 2027.

2030

2028 will see a significant crypto rally as a result of another Bitcoin mining reward halving. Every Bitcoin halving in the past was the reason for a powerful bull run as miners have to raise the prices for Bitcoin in order to keep profitability. Moreover, the new BTC emission halts by 50%. It impacts the BTC price which in turn notably warms up the rest of the crypto market. Although 2029 and 2030 may see a moderate pullback, by the end of 2030 many worthy cryptocurrencies will be traded at higher prices than before 2028. The XDC price may reach 55 cents by the end of 2030.

2035

There will be another Bitcoin halving between 2030 and 2035. However, we don’t know much about other important events of the 2030s that will impact the crypto market and world economy in general. Given that the XinFin project keeps on going and developing, the tech analysis reveals $5.7 as the price XDC will have in 2035.
